Survivors Speaking Out
The individuals featured on this page are all survivors of sibling sexual abuse and trauma and have chosen to share their experiences publicly, in various ways.
In some nations, unless the person responsible has been convicted in criminal court, survivors of child sexual abuse are not allowed the choice to make their own identity known. In this video, three survivors share their experiences, and two must keep their identity masked. The video also features actors from the British soap Hollyoaks, who portrayed a sibling sexual abuse storyline that was written with input from an advisory panel of adult survivors. Another survivor, forced to remain anonymous, tells her story in this Metro article: My Brother Made Me Play 'Naughty Exercises' - I Didn't Realise It Was Abuse

Telling your story as a survivor of sibling sexual trauma/abuse can be a healing experience. It can let others know they are not alone. It can also bring trauma, and drama, to the surface. We recommend finding trusted sources of support and taking extra care of yourself if you decide to go through this process.
